Diamond Monitor 18 Loudspeaker.
Diamond Monitor 18 - 2-way design based on the 19mm Scan Speak textile dome, characterized by spatial and retail sound. The bottom of the band is reproduced by the 18cm Norwegian Seas driver, that is offering colourful sounding well known from the other Diamond designs. This loudspeaker was modified by adding an additional magnetic ring that optimized Thiele-Small parameters for the needs of the application inserted in the mount-enclosures.
Diamond Monitor 18 offers dynamic and spatial sound. Thanks to the optimization of the magnetic system, the speakers have a strong and well-articulated bass. The midrange tones of the set are a representation of precision and resolution, vocals and acoustic instruments are stable in a space filled with a great deal of information.
The steering in the monitors is mounted in the direct-mount technology, using only polypropylene capacitors. The placement of the coils have been optimized for minimizing interactions.
The loudspeaker enclosures are made in the same technology as in case of their larger brothers, Diamond 28 and 25. The solid is based on MDF boards, bituminous mats and sheep wool were being used for the dampening. The whole structure was stiffen with additional reinforcement. Through a slight tilt of the structure, the intended visual effect was combined with the optimization of the phase dependencies between the speakers.
The columns are dedicated to the rooms of 12 - 25 m2.
The sets are provided with the branded stands that create an attractive proposition for people who would like to use the full potential of the columns in their spatial capabilities.

Last week (15.09.2017) we have received an information concerning a test that was conducted on Diamond Monitor columns by Hifi Pig magazine. The reviewer become so much interested in these loudspeakers that he has decided to buy them :). Diamond Monitor set has received "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED" award.
"(...) I was quite taken aback just how powerful they sounded and at long last I was listening to a pair of speakers that were forthright and direct in the way they played music, which is exactly my kind of speaker. (...)"
"(...) I was instantly in love and that was even before they had any running hours on them, so the best was yet to come. (...)"
"(...) They are very expressive, full of tonal colours, textures and fine details, pumped well out into the room. (...)"
"(...) When they are fed with a good clean signal the treble has immense clarity and sweetness, plus they have the ability to pick out presence and ambience cues that some other speakers can blur over and fog up. (...)"
"(...) So, to summarise then, this is an affordable awesomely good sounding speaker that I am more than positive will be putting as big a smile on many owner’s faces as it has mine throughout my time with them. (...)"
Build Quality: Very well put together and the leaned back stance I found attractive.
Sound Quality: When direct and relevant comparisons are being made with a speaker more than twice the price and reputation, it says it all really.
Value For Money: I cannot think of anything that might suggest they were not good value for money.
Pros: Attractive shape, quality construction, dedicated stands and excellent sound. Price.
Cons: Cannot think of any cons at all. That’s why I am buying a pair! - read
"Full Recommendation" from German HiFi-Journal magazine for Diamond Monitor stand-speakers.
"(...)This set is characterized by a very high quality – starting from the enclosure and finishing with the speakers that have been used in this construction. What we have to emphasize is in particular the finishing with the varnish, because Pylon Audio did an incredibly good job in this field."
"(...)Although the terminal is not so richly equipped, it is of a very high quality.(...)"
"(...)The attached stand, which can also be called a “foot”, is perfectly matched to the design of the loudspeaker set.(...)"
"(...)You can perfectly, on a daily basis, use the stand also for storing CD’s. "
"(...)The sound of Pylon Audio Diamond Monitor is fairly balanced, and the midrange tweeter is presented in a great details, with a smooth and free but never overdone presentation. Generally speaking, the loudspeakers have a harmonious sound model that has neutral playing without its own color scheme.(...)"
"(...)Currently, a set of Diamond Monitor (2 pieces) is priced at around 850 EURO in the standard finishing and it is available in the Pylon Audio online shop. Having in mind the quality of the enclosure and the characteristics of the sound – it is a very good offer.(...)" - read more

- czytaj
"Editor's choice" for Pylon's Diamond Monitor bookshelf speakers - HD-Opinie.pl.
"(...)This is the latest flagship model offering of stand mounted speakers from the Jarocin manufacturers Pylon. The current price is 3600 PLN which is not expensive for such large monitors. They are a bargain made at such an excellent level of carpentry featuring first-class finishing (paint coatings) and transducers. (...) ""
"(...)From the start you can see we are dealing with monitors that can form the basis of the HiFi / cinema system in a medium-sized room (22-25 meters) They have no problem performing well without the support of a subwoofer (although, as I have mentioned many times, the proper implementation of the 2.1 system is a great idea for an even better sound than "only" from two stand mount speakers). This is an important tip for someone who is looking for something that will fill a large room as an alternative to floor-standing speakers if, for whatever reason, there is no possibility of a sensible arrangement. (...) "
"(...)These Diamond speakers have something special, something that personally captured me. They can charm with the mid-range which can cut through the low end. They can beautifully reproduce the sound of classical instruments. They perfectly emphasize the richness of human singing. Vocals are memorable. There is something distinctive about these loudspeakers that catches your attention. When we use the plugs the sound of the human voice will be warm and sweet, oh indeed it will be, and this pleasure will last and certainly you will not get bored with it. If only you allow the speakers to bring out the best of the mid-range and bass they will be a recipe for hours of pure pleasure. (...) "
"(...)Pylon's engineers who tune (switch), modify and design (their own) drivers are well aware that the sales and market success depend on fitting the tastes of not only the niche but also appeal to the mainstream markets. Pylon is targeting an audience that does not split hairs or look for something impossible. This is a practical, healthy approach that usually guarantees high ratings and good opinions from those interested in buying a stereo system based on classic speaker sets. (...) "
"(...)The speakers work well with both solid-state transistor and tube amplifiers. Even at low power it was possible to achieve a pleasant mid-range sound although, of course, we could use a much more powerful tube driver. The Diamond Monitors are a strong player in their class. I hope that Pylon will not abandon the possibility of building stand alone models in higher product lines. (...) " - read more
