Diamond Center mkII Loudspeaker.

Diamond Center mkII is the latest version of the central speaker designed for use in home theater systems. The refreshed cabinet design along with modern drivers are noticeable at first glance, but changes have also been made to the crossover construction, offering even higher sound quality.

The advanced mid-woofer drivers, structurally modified by our engineers, are fundamentally based on Norwegian Seas' design. Besides the visible replacement of the dust cap with a phase cone, improving midrange quality and eliminating resonances caused by the volume under the cap, this speaker also received a reinforced drive with a dual magnet, ensuring greater dynamics and control of the vibrating system. The classic, coated cellulose diaphragm works in conjunction with a lightweight 1-inch voice coil wound with aluminum-copper wire.

High tones are reproduced by a new version of the tweeter from Scan-Speak, enhanced through several measures, including the use of a stronger neodymium magnet, reduction of the coil mass, and the elimination of ferrofluid. These changes result in increased micro-dynamics and detail without added harshness. The new front made of black cellular rubber is also noticeable, guaranteeing, in addition to undeniable aesthetic qualities, long durability and reduction of sound wave reflections.

The new crossover uses only linear components such as air coils, polypropylene capacitors, and 1% tolerance resistors, ensuring high sound purity without coloration or distortion.

The Diamond Center mkII cabinet, similar to other mkII designs, has been modified by increasing the front tilt. Additionally, we have changed the grain arrangement in versions finished with natural veneer. Inside the cabinet, a new damping material has been introduced, which, along with natural sheep's wool, suppresses all resonances and standing waves, eliminating any coloration of the sound.

Thanks to all these changes, the Diamond Center mkII provides an even more faithful and natural reproduction of dialogue in a multichannel system.
